Block and crank numbers

Block and crank numbers
Just wondering if these numbers taken from a FE crank and block can tell us what they are and came from. Block stamped W 2J18. Crank is stamped 2U. THX David

2J18 = Block cast September (J) 18, 1962 (2) or 1972 (2).
