Hey guys, I just installed a remote start in my 08 f350 and everything is working but the door locks. I have talked to their tech support and they had me replace the module which did not solve the problem. Has anyone on here put one in or had a similar problem? I have checked and rechecked all my wiring and cannot figure out what is going on. All my connections are soldered and should not be a problem. Any help would be appreciated.
If installed correctly, I know those things are very hard to do, I would think it's a programming issue. It may be in "Valet Mode". What type of command start is it?
Compustar?
It is an autostart with a 2 way transmitter. I called their tech line and they said it was the module. Changed that and still have the same problem. I have gone through all the programming and I can't see where I could change anything but I guess it is trial and error now.
With those who have to set whether it is a negative or positive pulse. Are you still having issues? If so please post the model and color wire you are connected to. I'm no pro but my brother is a pro installer and fellow Ford lover and we'll do what we can to get it right.
It is an Autostart 6870tw-fm. The wire coming out of the module for the door lock is brown and I have wired it into the blue and light green wire behind the driver kick panel.
So I checked the wiring and it is all proper. I will check the output and see if it is on positive because I believe the lock is supposed to be a negative output. Thanks for the help
We'll the wiring is correct but I cannot find the jumper you are talking about. There is one for the park lights and one for the tach. If you could talk to your brother that would be great!
I did program it but I may have missed something. I could not find the jumper for the door locks but maybe it is listed wrong in the manual. Thanks for all the help.
