Well here I am trying this again. All the help I've had so far is great. Like I said in my last post I'm in need of help. I have a 69 f-250 2 wheel drive that is my project. I found a 73 f-250 donor truck on cragslist. I bought the truck got it home. We tinkered with it and got it running. To our amazement it runs and drives pretty darn good. OK now lets get to my question. The reason I bought the truck was for the 60 Dana rear Diff., 3:73 Gears with a Power Locking true Posi locking Diff, Carrier. After driving it we confirmed it posi. So here's the question has anyone here or can you lead me to a place where I can find someone who has changed the location of the spring and shock mounts in order for the 73 (wider frame) rear end to move over to my (narrower 69 )without get into the internal parts to which I'm clueless. It seems the fabrication and relocation is the way to go. I checked the tag on the rear end today and here are the numbers as I could make them out. On the top was 3 54 D3TA-YA below that is 6033 81-3
The description of the rear end 60 Dana rear diff. is from the sellers craigslist add. PLZ Help THX David

Ford: D3TA-YA / Dana: 603381-3 // Dana 60 rear axle, 3.54-1without Limited Slip (non locking). Rear axle parts list #93. Original application 1973 F250.
1973/79 F250 ~ Parts list #93: C6TZ-4209-AM 3.54-1 R&P kit.
Thank you Number Dummy, then obviously the tag is the original tag. And unit has been changed. Because its definitely posi I've checked 2 ways. Jacked up rear end spun 1 wheel and both turned the same direction. #2 drove and both wheels left a patch. I suppose it would have to be taken apart by a expert to know the true spec's. That solved time to change parts over to project truck. WISH ME LUCK. Thx David
It would probably be easier to swap the limit-slip carrier over to your old housing, and give you the opportunity to put in new clutches for the limited slip. It would have to be done by a mechanic but it would be worth it than having it crap out later.
