From the factory are the mounting point for either a bench or the jump seats in the floor? The reason I ask is because a friend got a bench from a 80's ford and bolted it in the rear and now got the rear seat lift kit but the holes on the lift kit don't line up.....
That's whats odd.... Its a 75 SC 2wd, when he got it it had aftermarket jump seats in it and didn't have the latch on the pass side where the bench I believe would have locked into place when the seat wasn't folded down... The 80's seat seemingly fit, yet these brackets for the lift seat which are specifically made for dent side supercabs don't align with any of the holes in the floor. So it seems like when ordered from the factory there was a SC with holes for a bench only and other with holes for jump seats only. But to me that makes no sense and I think FORD would have had universal holes for whatever the buyer ordered to bolt in even after the SC arrived at the dealer if the buyer decided he wanted _____ as the rear option.
I've never seen the lift kit, so I don't have much input on that. Maybe the brackets are upside down or on the wrong sides? If the seat bolts up fine, then it has to be the kit.
If I remember correctly there are three holes in a line along each side of the cab. The jump seats bolt into the two outer holes and the bench seat bolts to two adjecent holes. The seat belt attachment points for both set ups are also there.
It's dark and raining like a big dog right now or I'd go out and look under the cab to confirm. I'll try to take a look a little later.
