But ive been going to school, working 3 days a week and trading lots of dentside parts to aquire a lot of stuff I need or can sell to make extra cash on the side. I also just got a raise at work so im stoked about that!

When you get to school take a look around at surrounding restaurants. A lot of them like college students and work with schedules really well. I have 5 friends working at restaurants near their colleges. Average of at least 9-10 a hour plus tips. Adds up fast!
I would stay in Wichita no problem if the local college was offering me a scholarship. But 12k a year in student debt is not something I want to start out with. I have a few other colleges 50-80 miles from my home that are offering me decent scholarships, so its narrowing down from there.

Ah very nice! San Diego State University is like under 4k a semester. Cheap! And local so it works. But congrats on the scholarships

It didn't stick around any longer than it took for more to get pumped out. It was about 29 out when the video was shot so, you know, bit colder than San Diego. Cant drive her around as I need to go get a new tag. I should be doing that here next week, my parents get a little pissy when I want to drive their vehicles in the snow & ice

Haha I know the pissy part all to well But yea test her out next week and to me if its that colt out, ur exhaust is doing the same thing as you or I would do when we wana see our breath in the cold. Warm exhaust air meets freezing temps = cloud of white smoke or whatever you choose to call it. Add that to probably a little moisture in the engine means its time to drive her to San Diego for the winter haha

She had just been sitting for a while after I starved her of oil and didn't have to cash to buy more (didnt have a gasket very tight). And I was doing google searches and it was coming up with everything from condensation to its burning oil and has cancer and is ready to self implode at any minute

Hahaha that's why I don't google anything like that. Youl get everything but the right answer. If it doesn't smell (like really bad) then ur good. If it smells like exhaust its just condensation and hot air meeting cold. My trucks do that every morning in the winter, even here in Sun Diego.lol

Okay ig here is the game plan. Whenever smoken posts a pic (no hurry, just when you get around to it) I'll draw up the linkage in CAD and we can take it from there. If anyone has any other shifters for autos that work in dents that would be cool. Done tons of google searchs and couldn't find jack squat

Yep, that is good news with all the crap I've gone through with this truck. My dad is super pissed because a bunch of carbon got blew out (I was letting the engine warm up on high idle) and all over his focus parked behind. He's got to go and wash it off now after work.

He was just interrogating me over what I had done with the carb etc. And I get to pay for his car wash (like two bucks because he will get cold and just rinse off the hood in the car wash and go back inside). Its funny my dad rushes inside when its cold while I'm under a truck in a t shirt, below freezing, doing an oil change (or I should say a small oil removal).

Why don't you just save the money that you do not have and your current transmission and wait to buy the correct manual transmission and parts and shifter, then you can go around gear jamming.

Speed shifting a auto is like a great way to blow stuff/out...trans seals or slip it into reverse at the worse moment. The old woops wrong gear....statement. Might cost you a u -joint or a trans, but no biggie I am going manual anyway, right?

A correct set kick down lever is all you should to go into passing gear. But since gas is to much for you, you do not need to be passing anyone anyway, besides its not a friggin race car, its a truck.

Yea I know, about right now you are saying "Who the hell is this crazy old man", just messing with you. (insert laugh) And at least I did not crack on you about describing yourself like T-Rex in your 1st post.

Sorry had to....there are some after market column to floor shifters (B&M) that are not to badly priced. And here is my heat....do what you gotta do. This was before the midwest got dumped on.

Blasted carbon on your dad's ride, to funny. Also are there not any welding shops in Wichita Ks? If you buy a welder (gas $) you still have to learn to use it.
