I have a 79 f150 that worked perfectly fine for the longest time, but when I started it up a few months ago the brake lights, interior lights, blinkers, and marker lights don't work anymore and aren't getting power to them. Any ideas as to what's wrong?
Start by checking fuses. Do this by checking for power on BOTH sides of the appropriate fuse. Brake lights, interior lights and blinkers are each on a separate fuse except for the marker lights, which are handled differently.
How long has is sat for? Ck for any signs of mice chewing (gnaw marks) on the wiring under the hood or signs of them in the cab (mouse poop). They get in there too and like to chew on stuff under the dash.
If you haven't changed anything or worked on it, what could of went wrong from just setting? Did you have to jump start it when you did get it started?
Like fmc400 said ck fuses, wiring connections, and your main harness fuse by the starter solenoid. Its Orange color, I believe?
