88 7.3 idi wierd electrical problems.

Hey Pat, sorry to hear you're chasing the elusive Ford gremlins, but honestly I'm glad I'm not the only one! 
Your posts have given me some useful insight, as I'm just starting to dig in to my 87 that just joined the family 2 days ago. I'm also experiencing wired gauge issues and thanks to your posts I'm going to replace the VR post haste. My rig has very similar symptoms to yours and he VR is a cheap place to start.
Unfortunately, the nearest town to me is 30 miles away so my parts runs have to be planned well!
