engine block to ground

engine block to ground
Trying to keep this quick and simple. For a 99 f150 w/ 4.2 does the "engine block to ground" wire go from the block to a ground on the body, or from the block to the frame/chassis.

Alright sounds good. I just put in a high output alternator and added onto the wiring as well but the one that got me was the "engine block to ground" in the thing I went by it was labeled "Engine Block to Chassis Ground" yet in the pic of it the thing was grounded to the body not the chassis so I just wanted to double check which way would be the best.

Actually, on that truck, I had multiple grounds, and I took advantage of the battery having both style of battery posts (aftermarket battery) by buying and hooking up a second new thick copper negative battery cable to a place on the engine. So I had one main negative to ground, and one main negative to the engine.
Worked great, but I'm not sure I told the next owner that there were two negatives to disconnect on the truck if he ever needed to work on it... oops...
