04 powerstroke misfire/hesitation/shutter when idling or higher RPM

2004 powerstroke has a misfire/hesitation/shutter when truck is traveling down the road moving around 2k RPM and then when come to stop the truck will lope a little and then slowly correct itself. I just had the FICM replaced and flashed. there is no check engine codes being throwing. I am lost at what it can be. The truck will start like to hop/shake when the misfire starts.

I am just trying to figure out what might be wrong before I spend a lot of money at nothing and still have the problem.

What are you using to check codes?

I just picked it up from ford and it came back with no codes besides the egr from the delete kit.

I had the ford dealer install the ficm in the truck and then re flash it. And it only does it intermittently. Doesn't do it all the time some that why I'm lost. I figure if it was an injector it would miss all the time.

could be a loose connection to the FICM or injector wire harness issue maybe chaffing.

what were your symptoms when you took truck to ford for the FICM and reflash. is that what they diagnosed as the problem?
take it back to them if under warranty.

Clean the EGR valve , MAF and IAT2 sensor.

I installed a new ficm because the old one failed and Friday morning I went to start it and it just rolled over and wouldn't start. Old one it would miss really bad and had trouble starting. They had to reflash and update everything and it ran then. But that miss is still there. I will look at harnesses but does the valve covers need pulled for that? And idk if the Cps or maybe the ICP or ipr could cause a miss. Like I said no lights on dash or from scanner.

Valve covers do not need to be removed to check the harness. Sounds Like wwe. Need some scangauge data. ICP. Vs IPR%.
Just. Because CEL is not lit up don't mean there ain't a soft code stored
