Famous spark plug change.
So I recently bought this 2004 with 178km on it. Something gave me a feeling that the plugs have never been changed on it. Plus when I buy cars I like to do a complete service on them.
So I left it with my buddy at his shop. While at it he would do brush bar install, tranny fluid, read differ fluid and change both front springs since one of them was broken.
He got 5 spark plugs out, 3 of them broke (he has special tool to take broken plugs out). And 1 broken plug stripped the thread in the head. This is where nightmare began, finding a tap and helicoil with the size of M16x1.5 is not so simple as we thought (I could only find M14x1.25 but that's for older Fords??). The kit to do it is like $300. Tomorrow morning one of the millwrights from some company is coming to his shop to tap it and get er done for $130. Ford really did a number on this FML. This should be like a recall or something. Other then that I cant wait to drive my truck again.
