Wow that's a heck of a deal. I remember seeing pictures of your setup when you were doing one of your projects. I'd love to work my way up to a rig like that but for the amount of work I have to use it for, a 100lb unit is about all I can justify and even with that' I'll be waiting on my compressor until I can afford an upgrade.
My problem is that I have very little down time to strip it down like that. It a landscaping rig. So at best I could have it down for a weekend. I think I'll just pull the bed early spring and por-15 it get the areas best I can with the sand blaster I got.
Is love to but I just not set on spending 4,500 on it if the frame is as scaly as u say. I'll just bring it to u once it striped. Again I have no time frame of when I will begin to get this done.

Does the truck get used in the winter?
And not a lot of $$ for a dana 60, 5 speed, t-case, low milage PSd, cab, utility body and lift gate, 6 like new tires
Truck is my daily driving rig. Jeep was suppose to be my back up. I know what your asking is not bad at all. I'm just saying it I don't have a pocket full of $$$$
for what its worth (not that it helps anyone at this point), I'll have some good experimental results with the Eastwood rust treatment products after this winter is done.
when I had my midship tank out for replacement, I wirebrushed everything I could easily access, sprayed a coat (about 2 cans) of their Rust Converter, let that sit for ~2 days per instructions, sprayed a coat of their Rust Encapsulator, then sprayed 2 coats of their Extreme Chassis Black. it was all single part rattle can stuff, but the cost was reasonable and at midwinter its looking pretty good under there.
I also did a few random spots with just the Rust Encapsulator to see how it would hold up on its own.
once winter is over, i'll decide if i'll do the rest of the frame this way or try something else - when I finally do my bed and engine swaps.
I have bought a small gravity feed blaster in the meantime and plan to get a decent spray setup together before the next round, though.
