hey guys, its freezing here in NY.. 3 degrees currently, a few weeks ago i had a new starter installed and batteries and FICM upgrade, i used the truck all day today and its been sitting now for 4 hours, i went to go move it in my driveway and it wouldnt start, no crank, nothing, batteries are good, i didnt hear the starter engage? Also went to plug in the block heater and it trips my GFCI in the garage, i tested truck plug with ohmmeter and not getting any continuity between hot, neutral, ground ( so that meens theres nothing wrong?) extension cord is working fine, untill i plug it in- it trips.. im fed up with this truck!!!
couldnt go to bed without looking at the truck again lol.... curled underneath and noticed the heater cord wasnt plugged into the block,, it was dangling covered in snow/ice!!! so my mechanic when he installed the starter must of never plugged it back in good enough..... plugged it in and its working!
Also the truck started after i held the key on, not sure if the temperature is so damn cold ( -3 now) that the block heater being plugged in for 5 min warmed it up to help it start or something else made it start? idk but its running and stayin warm!!! lol sorry for the PITA thread.
