Hey guys Its starting to get a little cold here in Wyoming and I have been trying to prep the truck for the cold but notice today that this truck does not have a block heater in it. I thought that all of the green nozzle guzzlers had block heater. How hard it it to install one and were do I get one from.
Near the Starter is where it's located. The cord was an option, but if the truck was originally sold in Wyoming, there is a good chance the cord is there. It is really tucked away near the Passenger tow hook area. I had to really look twice to find mine tied up there. Look near the starter and you may find the cord there.
If not, check e-bay for a replacement cord for it.
i dont no if they all came with the cord, but even the one i bought in Georgia came with one. should be laying in front bumper between the tow hooks if it does have one.
I think I remember the 04's came equipped with the cords, but the later models came as an option for the cord, but heater was in there. Since His is an 07, it could or couldn't be there. But they are tough little buggers to find if you don't start at the heater to make sure it has one!
I currently have a block heater but it doesn't seem to be working. How can I check to be sure before it leaves me out in the cold.

You can use a clamp-on amp meter to monitor the current draw which should be around 10 amps. If you don't have an amp meter you can also check the resistance using a multi-meter. It should be around 15 ohms.
