Mark Kovelsky - Need your input

My 2000 V10 Super duty(209k) will drives great, for the most part. Its starting to jump gears once in a while, if I get on it it will hit 4-4.2k RPMS then shift to second. third and fourth all at once. Or if I am needing more power and give it some, it will go from 3rd gear to 2nd, then when I let off. It hesitates for 1-2 seconds and thuds into the next gear and it will shake the truck, what is going on?

You need to get the codes read. If that doesn't explain what is wrong you'll need someone with a scan tool that can look at live data and see what is wrong.

Don't go to an auto parts store. They can't read these codes.

Where do I go to get the codes read? I dont know the first thing about automatic transmissions, give me a manual and I probably can figure it out.

Try a good independent auto repair shop or a Ford dealer.

Most of them will charge, too. When I owned a shop I charged $54.95 to read the codes.

Your other option is to change parts until it's fixed. Or go buy your own scan tool so that you can read the codes.

I had the codes pulled Mark, he said there were no codes at all in the transmission. There were the two codes I already knew about p0174 which has nothing to do with transmission behavior i would think.

Now you'll need to go back to this post:

Not to hi-jack this thread but if you are a DIY-er Aune163rd you might want to invest in AutoEnginuity with a Ford extended code pack. Expense but it can pay for itselfs in the long run. It will be my next "large tool" (read expense) purchase with a few other OE packs.
