I have a 2008 6.4, Sinister EGR delete, DPF Delete, SCT Tuner.
The problem is it Starts perfectly fine and Idles fine for a few minutes. Then it goes into a terrible miss. Scan tool says #2 misfire, and something to with Contribution ??. I Can shut it off and wait a few minutes it starts up fine again and does the same thing. If I start driving it before the misfire occurs it seems to run fine going down the road. And a couple of times it has just died out while at idle.
I took the EBP sensor and tube off and cleaned them, no change still does the same thing.
I unplugged the EBP sensor thinking the computer will default to an acceptable pressure, no change still does the same thing.
Sounds like an injector problem, Are there any codes? you could try to reload the tune be sure the tuner is updated with the most recent files. if not that I would get it checked out to see it its a injector or o ring you dont want it wash the cylinder or crack a piston if it is a injector hanging up.
No, I never noticed a miss before. Yesterday using the SCT tuner I put it on the tow tune. I had it on a custom tune before when I had the problem. This seemed to correct the problem. I started it and let it run for a while and no problems. I haven't driven it yet and now its -25 so I am going to wait til it warms up a little. Thanks for all the replies. I'll post an update when I get back to it.
