I believe that if you keep the e99 engine harness and install that on the 01...plug and play.

Yes it will plug and play except the AIH which the E99 doesn't have. It is to bad he didn't get the pcm. Because the tuning on a E99 is for AB injectors and the '01 has AD injectors. I would suggest getting a PMT1 pcm instead of the E99 XLE4. But it will still all work.
