I was replacing the backlight bulb for my guagecluster lcd display and found a harness plug that plugs into the shroud that does nothing. Do they offer some type of add-on buttons for this that would reveal any type of functions of the lcd such as trans temp? A buddy of mine has an 08 silverado and he found the same type of thing on his truck and now has extra functions of his lcd odometer screen. Thanks
There was an option for your truck that goes there, that your truck doesn't have.
For example, when I hooked up an aftermarket backup camera on my '02 F250, I utilized a plug like that to power the system. The plug I used was for a power pedal adjust that my truck did not have, but it was an option for my rig.
I have adjustable pedals right where that connection is. As for additional features for od display I know there is a diagnostics feature and a way to cycle through all kinds of things I'll post the way to do it when I find it again.

I think it may have been posted before, I'm not sure if it was this forum or another one I frequently visit. And yeah it does all kinds of stuff the only problem is you have to do it every time you turn off and restart the truck it doesn't stick but that's what the edge evo is for. It's for diagnostics and checking gauges and what not.

Bump for this post,...
I tried this on my '04 5.4 today , fuel pressure said 60 , and didn't change while running , or driving ??? shouldn't it change ?
Temp was showing 60 when I started it , and slowly climbed to 86 then never went higher. Does this mean my computer thinks my coolant is not getting over 86 ?
The oil heading just says 000 is it supposed to show oil pressure ?
Is there a chart describing what each function does ?
