Ok so for the first time today I tried to use the AUX input on my the factory Stereo. I hooked up my phone to the AUX input port on the dash and started playing music but I'm only getting audio out of the driver side door? I tried playing with the settings and looked in the owners manual, I cant find a way to get audio on the entire sound system. Am I missing something?
Yep it sure sounds like what happens with a bad headphone jack. Have you tried to wiggle the cable on both ends while it is playing? You have a bad connection somewhere that is only allowing 1 channel to come through. There are no system settings that would affect this if both channels are working fine in other modes.
I use the cable at work everyday without any issues so I think the cable is ok. Actually I don't know if the DR side rear door has audio or not... didn't sound like it, but I have nothing from the passenger side speakers for sure. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something. I'll get another cable and try again just to be sure...
ok I had to go out and plug my truck in for the night so I played with it a little more and if I plug my cable into the AUX jack then pull it 1/3 back out I can get both channels. If you wiggle it a tiny bit it goes back to just the driver side. Im gonna try to get another cable if that fails i'll have to do something about the jack itself. Thanks guys! I was convinced something in the settings wasn't right...

What's your latest conclusion. I have the same problem and have replace the cable and go a used input jack - neither worked. I checked Ford and they won't $101.00 for a new one.
