I've got a power steering leak and my fluid is a little low. Also have developed a noise that I hope is the power steering, its like a humming sound. What I find odd is it is in tune with acceleration on takeoff. Could the noise be something else? Its only noticeable at slow speeds and slight turning.
Try flushing your power steering fluid. I have to change it in my wifes 06 500 about every 2 years. The pump will start making noise and I think it is just breaking down the fluid.
