I have been having problems with the front bags not inflating when cold. I think there is a slow leek in the bags when the solenoids are closed but when its cold the system will deflate when the pump is on. Maybe replacing the air lines would fix it but I am pretty sure the gas shocks are pretty much gone with 154,000 miles. I just decided I do not want to spend more repairing the air suspension. Driving it with the bags deflated is not fun. I have replaced all the sensors at least once and I think the rear ones twice. I replaced the compressor and front solenoids hoping that would help with the cold weather problems. I know that I will need to take it to the dealer to eliminate the air suspension warning but probably will live with it for a while.
on my 99expy, the instructions with the kit said to Remove the bulb from the cluster, disconnect the air pump, remove fuse from under hood fusebox.
Make sure the switch for the system is on (the one on the passenger side under the dash) as it also controls the "EVO" - Electronic Variable Orfice" and is used to change the sensitivity of the power steering between low speed and higher speed.
On the 03-06 Navigator there is no bulb its a computer display message. I might be able to disconnect the relay and leave the switch on if I leave all the solenoid s attached and the height is closed enough it might not trip the air suspension warning otherwise I'll leave the switch off. The switch for the navigator is in the rear and it only control the air suspension system. The dealer can program it to delete the air system but I would guess they want like $100 to do it.
