I know just from the railroad side...it's getting expensive with the backlog of freight needing to get across. I hear the barges are stackin up and it's even more expensive.Could have sworn you said otherwise...but looking back, the evidence isn't there. Strange.Yet another reason why I agree Ford got it wrong when they claimed you could go 7500 between oil changes on these HUEI engines. There is a guy in the 6.0L (from KC) that hauls RV out of Indiana all over 'Merica. I wonder how often he changes his oil? The last thread I read that he started...his motor trashed a lifter at 570k miles. I want to say he's got an '06...but I'm too lazy to go look up the thread right now.
Run6.0run changes his oil religiously every 5K--about once a week or less for him. He does have a late 6.0 and still has the original HPOP at 750K+ miles.
Jeeze and I thought 340,000 miles on my Jeep was a bunch! Original engine BTW, although the trans has had the syncros and bearings replaced and the t/case got a couple of shift forks and bearings while I was there.
Things are getting real down here on the 'Bay. 13° and 3/4" of ice to deal with on our boat ride out wasn't fun. A jon boat isn't built for breaking ice. Still a lot of ice this evening, just the path I broke this morning, gonna be real interesting in the AM
Yeah I saw your pics on FB. I'll bet that was an interesting ride.
Ice was even thicker this AM, boat was actually riding up on the ice and then breaking through. Glad to see warmer temps so this stuff will go away.
First pic is from my deck, the entire bay is frozen in front of our place :-(
Second pic was after I made a trip through to break the ice and go start our vehicles at the marina.
