parking nose up on a hill, front end 1-2 ft higher than the back will help the bubbles go toward the water tank... I also put a TEE int he heater hose above #3 plug and loosen the cap and let the air out as i fill the coolant tank.

thanks guys. his coolent is red so at 120k miles im willing to bet its never been flushed. so were going all out. full flush and thermostat. Id prefer his mother not break my neck over something going wrong so thanks lol I assume the f150 5.4 takes the normal universal yellow coolent. seeing as the owners manual just says premium coolent only -.-*
