94-up blocks had provisions for roller cams; tall lifter bores, bosses in the lifter valley for the spider. Some had the roller cam and lifters, like the Lightning, some didn't.
From what I know, all 94+ block engines actually have the roller cams installed in the engines. the blocks were machined to accept the roller cams since the late 80's.
