WW2 install gone wrong

Well yesterday I set out to install my new WW 2. I decided to take the turbo off to install it. That was one big mistake. It was really difficult to get the baby butt disconnected from the turbo and then when I started back together with it nothing wanted to line up right. Finally got everything back together but now I can't get the baby butt to seal up with the turbo. I have a bad exhaust leak. I wonder if the baby butt/up pipes may have shifted? Anybody got any ideas or experiences to share?

It is very possible if you still have stock uppipes and they slipped within the donut gaskets. You may need to loosen the bolts at the manifold connections to help align the baby's butt, then tighten them after that connection is secure. Bad thing is that if the pipes are loose enough to slip, you need address the leaks there.

There is an alignment pin in the baby butt which must mate up with the hole in the back of the turbo flange. It is a pain in the kiester but you will know when it lines up because the flange clamp will go together easier.

BTS installed new up pipes in April when transmission was installed.

You will have to listen the up pipes at the manifold otherwise it is virtually impossible

Yep, much easier with everything loose including the turbo.

I have the bellowed ups. While the baby's butt is the pain in same, it is doable without loosening anything below. Food for thought.
