For my 01, I did the one with the led I finished it and hit the switch oh crude the lowest I can get outta the two 5k ohm pots is 2000 rpm and the highest so high I'm chicken as hell to see where it stops... My led comes on and the pots seem to be working just like there suppose to so now what, how do I get my idle to be lower..... Thanks guys
I had the best results out of a 50k but it was very touchy. I tried different pots but was never happy with the results so scrapped the whole thing and will have the high idle done through tuning.
Here's a link to a thread that contains info on building the DIY AIC with one switched potentiometer and fixed resistors. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...-2002-psd.html I used cookie88's instructions to build mine. I have since added a "high idle" tune to my chip, but still use it, when solo, and need to hold the throttle at higher rpm. Mine still doesn't have precise control of the rpms, but works well enough and does "cap" the rpm from going full throttle.
