That question has too many variables. Do you want synthetic oil? Motor craft filters, aftermarket?(p.s. You want motorcraft) are you doing the change or somebody else? Here rotella T6 is about $25 a gallon you need four of them. Motorcraft filter is about $20. So $120 if you don't yourself for me. If your going to pay someone make sure they use the proper filter and that you have the proper oil filter cap. Best bet as pricey as any is to just to have a dealer do it if you don't like to do it yourself. At lead you'll get the proper filter. This time of year make sure they put in the proper weight oil for the temperature wherever you end up going.
I feel spoiled. When I bought my truck several years ago, I talked my Ford dealer into a lifetime oil change program. Had the dealer add the lifetime oil change cost to the purchase price and financed through my credit union. I don't pay for oil changes and my truck was paid off years ago. Sorry, I'm no help with your question, but I couldn't resist the urge to brag again.
If you're referring to me, DAD, I respectfully disagree. I paid $999 for the Lifetime Oil Change (LOC) with no annual limits. To make the math simpler, let's call it $1000 even. Diesel oil changes at the dealership I bought the truck from were (and are) approximately $100, including all the disposal and "shop" fees. I follow the Heavy-Duty maintenance schedule (3,000-mile oil changes) due to towing/hauling and off-road outdoor activities. There's no annual limit, but let's say I reach the 3,000 mile mark quarterly.
So, four LOCs per year x $100 = $400 per year.
$1000 LOC initial cost / $400 per year = 2.5 years to pay off.
Truck purchase was financed for five years through my credit union, so even with the cost of financing, the LOC was paid off BEFORE the truck was paid off in May 2008. Every LOC I received since the truck pay off date is free money in my pocket.
The cost of an oil change will almost always be outrageously higher if you pay an oil change service rather than doing it alone. Unless of course if the filter is hard to access and/or the vehicle is to low to the ground to get up on ramps .
