I am experiencing about 3 to 4 mile per-hour change in speed ( up and down ) going up a grade with the cruse control engaged , if I just hold the throttle in the same position it doe's not surge ?. I no this has to effect the milage and very annoying too boot. Doe's anyone have any ideas what is causing this issue ?
Thanks Bill
Mine does the same thing but not so severe... very annoying. I would love to find the fix because it will sit there and you can feel the throttle up and down.
Pull the chip off of your PCM and see if it still does it while on the original stock tune.
Make sure you don't have the keys in the ignition when you pull the chip. Also, "modified stock" (if you have that position on the chip) is not the same. You must pull the chip and try it with the programming on the PCM.
If it doesn't do it on the stock programming, contact Jody and tell him what the tune is doing while the cruise control is engaged so he can work his magic.
For what its worth on my V10 its done it both before and after my 5Star tune. Not a single difference.

Sorry, I should have quoted the OP in my response. My post was directed to him, since he lists a tuner in his sig.

I know you were referring to him, its all good. I had hoped mine was computer related but Mike had said that the CC was completely seperate from the PCM. Although the tune has fixed EVERYTHING else wrong with it!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand looking closer without my normal speed reading, I see the tuner is for his other rig, not his Ex.

No problem Stewart
I will be installing a DP on the X very soon and will check with Jody on this issue.Maybe the tuner is the fix !. I don't know history of the X, the PO may have flashed the PCM ?
Thanks Bill
