I have a 2011 F-350 (powerstroke) that came from Ford with a factory remote start. It only runs the truck for 15 minutes, and it doesn't turn on the heater or heated seats or wipers or anything. The local remote starter guy said that he can't install an aftermarket one because Ford has the system "locked" he's pretty good so I believe him. Plus I know he'd like the business...
Does anyone know if the factory settings can be changed to run it longer or have it turn stuff on? On GM cars the system senses the temperature outside and turns on the heat and stuff in the winter, and the AC in the summer when you use the factory remote starter...
The range sucks also, but I could live with that.
When it's below zero here in Michigan, running 15 minutes, and not having any of the stuff turn on (even if you had the things turned on when you shut off the truck) is just a waste of fuel.
Any advice or help GREATLY appreciated!
