I just bought a 2008 F450 Flatbed truck for my excavation company.
Can I drill/punch/destroy the innards of the particulate filter? I was thinking (probably wrong, but I don't know why) that the sensors would never sense
a differential in the pressure and maybe the truck wouldn't regenerate. Anybody know what would happen? I have great hopes of increasing fuel mileage without spending any money.

Reason: Bad spelling!
Won't work. It's smart and will notice something isn't right, then it will get pissed off and probably go constant regeneration.
If you follow the severe duty service schedule to the letter, AND avoid ALL excessive idling, the truck *should* turn out fine.
If you want to really play it safe, STILL follow the severe duty service schedule, but also tune the emissions off. Sure it will cost money, but that's how this game works.
Im more familiar with the 6.7, but I think the 6.4 has a set number of miles that it regens at doesn't it? So even if the filters empty, it would regen...NOT 100% sure though.
Awww… dang sensors, they probably are too sensitive! Ok thanks for the feed back. I was hoping I could fool them without a tuner….. I guess I'll just have to start saving my $$$$!
