sorry about your luck miles. The last vid really sounds like a dry u joint to me but im not sure about the noise in your transmission maybe two different problems. Have you noticed any vibrations while at highway speeds?

Yes I have all sorts of vibrations but I think most are from my tires. Having it towed to my mechanic later

Anyone? Id like to get some ideas while my truck is at the shop so I can get a list of things yo check

Again, squeaking/chirping while the truck is rolling under its own power and gets faster when accelerating. Only does it in drive, not reverse or in Park revving it up

I agree...... U-joint! First thing I thought!

I would hope it was a u joint, but the noise isnt coming from anywhere near a u joint... the closest one is the one behind the transfer case and i put my ear right up to it and its silent. Closer to the trans is where it makes all the noise

The squeaking is defiantly a u-joint the ratcheting sound is something else. Probably from the transfer case could be something wrong but it could be normal like the oil pump turning.
If I get my Super Duty in the shop tomorrow ill see what my t case sounds like.

the last time my truck had a squeak/chirp thing going on it was an exhaust leak.... it did the same thing you described in D, and not P, R, or N.... let off the gas and coast it would go away, give her some gas it would chirp again. i know mine is a gasser, totally different animal than your 6.0 ..... but just my .02

Had a park issue with an old C6 one time, the shift cable adjustment was off. I am assuming by your question this is not possible, being you assisted in designing the torqshift and all.

I suspect a U-joint as well. Look at ALL the u-joints...if you see any rusty powder/dust on or around any individual cup, that joint is no good...it's dried out and is eating itself from the inside of the cup.

Should there be any play where the driveshaft begins at the back of the transfer case? Moves like 1/8th inch in any direction. I think im just going to bring my driveshaft to the driveline place i use and have them replace the other 2 u joints and the carrier bearing
