Even though this is my first diesel, i can tell what would be condensation and what's just white smoke, rolling down the highway if i step on it, it will spit white smoke until you let off the fuel. Exhaust is still stock because it's in the midst of being safetied after some ball joint work.
I did pull my EGR valve twice now, both times has been dry and crusty inside.
Only good thing i can say so far is it started in -41C without being plugged in yesterday
Mine does the same thing when its that cold, I'm telling you.
Mine steams at fully warm too. Im telling you your tripping on nothing. You probably could just tap the cat with a hammer and see if it sounds hollow. Screw taking it off in -40

Hey Benny, your in utah. Its cold there isnt it? Does your truck steam alot in the extreme cold?? Dang I forgot, you're broke down. Lol. Just messin with you.
Tripping out over nothing is much better than having to do a delete in the cold :P
Just getting answers from you knowledgeable people!
There's diesels all over the place here that i refer my own exhaust too and nothing is as much as what mines pouring out. If i could put a video to show i would, it just doesn't make sense to me that's all
i guess i will have to, i'll report back probably within the hour or 2 so no one go anywhere!
I'll check the turbo downpipe out before i do the video aswell and report on that too.
