i would be very interested after the first of the year. I need a new steering box on my truck, but the full price for a red-head is a bit intimidating.
Sorry guys, was very busy today at work and didn't call redhead. Ill do better thurs. I dont have a problem with waiting till after the first of the year if the general opinion of the group is OK with it. So lets have some opinions...
I think from past posts the full price was 365ish + ship. Price break up to $60 is possible if we purchase enough units. I gonna call thurs to confirm.
I spoke with Ray at Redhead, he is going to email info to me for group buy. I will post as soon as I get it. Moderators, Ive not been posting long here so if Im over stepping my boundaries please let me know. Goin to try to set this up for just after new year as soon as the general opinion is ready. Mine is making binding noises so Ill be ready when everyone else is.
Here is a list of most of our Ford pieces. I've been told that if you have some people interested in the group buy, but do not have Fords, it will still be OK to be part of it.
From a high of $546 exchange for the 2010 (if you have a 2010 we need to know a production date) and up SuperDutys. $496 exchange for the 07 1/2 to 2009 SuperDutys. $446 exchange for the 05 to 07 1/2 SuperDutys. $356 exchange for the 2000-2004 SuperDutys. $356 exchange for the 77 1/2-79 F-250 and 350 4x4s. Also, $346 exchange for 76-79 F-150 4x4 and 78-79 Broncos. $296 exchange for the late 97-99 F-250s and F-350s with 32 splined output shafts---not with 36 spline. $266 exchange for the 80-97 1/2 F-150 through F-350 2wd, 4wd, vans, rangers, etc. $266 exchange for 1970-79 F-150, F-250, and F-350 2wd. $476 exchange for the 1965-69 2wd with BENDIX power steering gear. $326 exchange 68-75 1/2ton 4x4 with manual steering. Same for 68-75 Bronco with manual steering. $256 exchange 65-79 F-100 through F-350 2wd with manual. $396 exchange 1968-77 1/2 F-250 and 350 4x4 with and without power steering. Same steering gear, different ratio. $356 exchange 73-77 1/2 F-250 and 350 with BENDIX control valve. $346 exchange Ram cylinder for same vehicle. $356 exchange 1975 F-100 4x4 with Garrison Control Valve. $346 exchange Ram cylinder for same vehicle. $356 exchange 1968-72 F-250 and 350 with Garrison valve. $346 exchange Ram cylinder for same vehicle. $246 exchange 68-74 Econoline Van with or without power steering. Same steering gear, different ratio. $246 exchange 75-82 Econolines with Saginaw steering gears. I think that pretty much covers the Ford trucks.
Basically, we would do from 5-15 pieces --- $30 discounts on parts over $300 excluding the control valves. $20 discounts on gears under $300.
16-25 pieces --- $40 off on parts over $300 excluding the control valves. $30 discounts on gears under $300.
26-35 pieces ---- $50 off on parts over $300 excluding control valves. $40 on gears under $300.
36 pieces or more ---- $60 off on parts over $300 excluding control valves. $50 on gears under $300.
These discounts would be taken off the prices given above. Control Valves and Cylinders would count in the total number of pieces but would be discounted always at $20 off.
Sounds good to me. As said, I'm in whenever. If you want to wait until after tax season as one person said that will work for me as I don't need it until probably summer. But I'm happy to go earlier.
Do we get a period of time for orders or is it all in up front?
Here is a link to the Group Buy I participated in, start on page one and notice how it was set up and shared on about every forum here at FTE .... it worked GREAT!
