V10 Year Interchangeability

Hi all,

I am a new owner of a 6.8L swapped car from what is believed to be a 2v from a '99 F350 mated to the 4R100 automatic.

I was wondering what years have the same external dimensions/motor mounts/transmission hookup as the '99? Will the 3v motors fit?

Thanks,
Will

The 2000-2004 F-series 2-valves are slightly better in HP/torque, and will probably fit with no issues.

The 3-valve, the intake and valve cover heights are almost definitely different, and I would want to check all that before saying "yes". (Not to mention all the issues with transplanting a 3-valve w/Torqshift and the electronics required just to run the throttle)

What kinda car?

Thanks for the responses guys. I had a feeling the 3v would be a different sort of animal.

The car is a 99 Crown Vic
