what would be the advantage of powering a tag axle?
Right now it just there for support, I'm sure it would be pretty stable with those 2 sets of duals.
If it was a 6x6 (or I guess in this case 10x10 ) it would be near unstopable off road. Not that you would want to take it up some jeep trails but if you were back some fire road pulling some logs off a mountain side you'd know you'd be getting back.
If anyone has never seen the USA 6x6 T-Rex dodge you should youtube some videos, I'd love the have that kind of traction
Its so that when you hook onto another F250/350 its not a night mare to drive. No weight on the front sucks. If i had a wrecker i would definately consider it. Its there for the same reason most wreckers have the axle in the VERY back. Why is there duallys, why is there sway bars... why is there air bags??

i could load some logs with that crane!
Driveline twister!
You know, at work when we're off-road our single screws do better then the double. That extra axle creates a pivot issue on uneven ground and you end up lifting a set of drive tires on each axle on different sides. We're always pulling the double screw out of ruts.
