I've been working all day on getting my project truck running. It's a 1992 F250 4x4 with dual tanks and the 351. Both fuel pumps were bad, so I only replaced the rear one. I'll worry about the front one later
My problem is with the braided fuel lines. I have a problem with the lines on both sides of the fuel filter. The braided lines were cut (poorly), so I can't get a tight connection with the filter. I need to get the engine to run before I can fix the bigger issues (needs a new transmission)
On my old 1987 Chevy (Not a Ford, but at least it was free!), I replaced the in-tank pump and used brass farm sprayer connections to splice the lines. That has worked well for the last 6 months on that truck.
On this one, I can't do that with the braided lines. RockAuto shows me rubber lines as the replacement part, which is fine with me (I actually prefer rubber and hose clamps over the "Quick" Disconnect. With all the dirt and junk under the truck, I can't seem to find where the lines terminate. The back portion is easy- just run a rubber line clamped to the truck right up to the filter. Where is the spot to end my front section of new rubber line?
