ScanGauge II Codes

Thnx npccpartsman

It will NOT do fuel pressure, EGT's or engine oil pressure since there aren't any PCM sensors to monitor those functions. Here's my short list:

Here are the Xgauges I now have entered in my Scangauge II. The ScII reads x gauges from #24 to #0 So I entered them alphabetically by name for easy access. I normally run:

FMP, ECT,EOT, VOLTS. While towing I will switch to add Fan speed and TFT.

With a little tweaking you can adjust this to read boost as you said.

To do this, just plug in the MAP code - get a reading from it with the key in the on position but the engine off, then based on the reading changed the last 4 digits of the MTH to whatever corresponds to your reading on this table

These are from James DeLong at Scangauge. (Well, thats a lot of gauges. )

Yea, MAP is a standard gauge - but this XGauge is actually better than the standard one. It has a larger range which was needed because the standard gauge tops out around 37 psi absolute (about 22 lbs of boost), which diesels have no problem doing. This one should read well beyond 22lbs of boost.

Manifold Absolute Pressure
TXD: 07E0221440
RXF: 046285140640
RXD: 3010
MTH: 012203200000
NAM: PSI

With a little tweaking you can adjust this to read boost as you said.

To do this, just plug in the MAP code - get a reading from it with the key in the on position but the engine off, then based on the reading changed the last 4 digits of the MTH to whatever corresponds to your reading on this table

14.0 -- FF74
14.1 -- FF73
14.2 -- FF72
14.3 -- FF71
14.4 -- FF70
14.5 -- FF6F
14.6 -- FF6E
14.7 -- FF6D
14.8 -- FF6C
14.9 -- FF6B
15.0 -- FF6A

So, for example if you got a reading of 14.5 PSI with key on engine off you'd change the MTH to 01220320FF6F and the reading should read 0.0 with key on engine off and would then show how many lbs of boost you were at when the vehicle is running.

But am curious to see what you Guys Get

AT KOEO FPW should be 0

and at KOER should be a Value hold on a sec

FUELPW 0 990 680 0 - 50000 (μ seconds) Fuel Pulse Width

and MAF should be

I didnt see one for Grams IDK in the operating Values we gotr from Cheezit

I saw one for MAF Volts I was hopen that he would give us the MAF Volt one and maybe he did will enter it in 2 morro and see what he gave us

This large type attachment is kinda nice also. (If your eyes are like mine)
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...8&d=1337911266

Many of these are duplicated a couple of times. If one doesn't work it may be typed incorrectly. Compare to a different entry elsewhere on the list. (Sorry)

Yes it starts.. its a long start but it will start. Not much after that. Going to pull ipr and check screen. I believe I have a sticky injector.. going to put in codes to check injectors. Hopefully tomorrow I can pick ip some hot shot secret and try that. Only other thing to donis replace pcm. And I can get one of those easy and for nothing.

Oh I see But what do you mean not much after that?? as in it runs Good at that point so the starts are just a little Sketchy ??

I don't think its the PCM

Most common is HPO leaking and being able to build pressure

IDK of anyone that got the Injector ones to work

Always a Long ccrank or just when Hot???

Watch these
ICP
ICPV
IPR%
FPW

ICP will want to hit 500+ psi before the FICM and stuff will turn on and Give it a FPW

Once it starts it sounds fine. Give it some gas and it only gets up to about 1600 rpm. Once you let of the gas it wants to die. Have to give it a few quick pumps on the peddle to keep it going. I know ficm was at 47.5 - 48 the whole time. Don't remember the rest at the moment. I do have a question though. When I bought icp sensor and pigtail from dealer I tested icp while I still had it oit to make sure I wired it right. Twisted wires together till I got a reading on scan gauge. Come to find out after that is dealer gave me wrong icp sensor (I have early 03 they gave me for an 05) so I had to return it and get the right one. Could the new pigtail be wired wrong for the correct icp sensor

Its always a long crank hot or cold.. Once its running if it dies for any reason or if I shut it off it is hit or miss if it will start again. Sometimes I have to wait a lil bit. I was thinking hpop but I don't have any leaks that I can tell. Only oil leak was coming from old icp sensor. I have cleaned egine to look for new leaks and found none. I had a buddy do a air test while I was at work and he said he could hear any leaks. It has fresh filters all oem. Along with fresh oil change 5w40 synthetic

ANY DTC??? I bet you wired it Right or the CEL would be on IS IT???

Post ICPV at KOEO (Key On Engine Off) this will Determine a couple things like if it wired right

Post ICP and IPR% at Crank & Idle & 2500RPM

ALso watch your RPM it Must get into the 150rpm Range to Start since the HPOP is Gear driven

I thought the ICP sensors was same and it was the IPR that was Different per 03 vs 05+

Well just do KOEO and Idle that will be enough to see if it leaks that bad you cant get to 2500 rpm

With all these Gauges theres Ford Specs for KOEO--idle--2500rpm

Take the readings at those with A/C Off in Park

here you go use this PDF
SENSOR OPERATING VALUES PDF

Do a bubble test for a leaking injector. The ICP sensor would have worked just fine.
