Couple of ??'s on the ScanGauge X-gauge programming

A couple of questions on ScanGauge X-gauge programming for my 2006:

Are these correct??:

Crank and Cam sync
TXD: 07E02209CD
RXF: 0462050906CD
RXD: 3601
MTH: 000100010000
NAM: SYC

(is there even a separate cam/crank sync that is different from FICM sync??)

Fuel Injector Control Module sync
TXD: 07E02209CD
RXF: 0462050906CD
RXD: 3701
MTH: 000100010000
NAM: SYC

Did anyone ever get the FDC (fan duty cycle) to properly read?

Could this be correct for FDC:
TXD: 07E022099F
RXF: 04624509069F
RXD: 3010
MTH: 000100010000

Also, I have read that MAT and IAT2 should be the same value, but there are different programmings for the:

Manifold Air Temperature (*F)
TXD: 07E02216E0
RXF: 0462051606E0
RXD: 3010
MTH: 001200050020
NAM: MAT

Intake Air Temperature 2 (*F)
TXD: 07E02216A8
RXF: 0462051606A8
RXD: 3010
MTH: 000100010000
NAM: IA2

Will these truly give the same IAT2 reading?

Thanks NSANE -

I believe that some of those are incorrect.
For example the MAT formula is not correct (at least for my 2006)

Also the VRef (CVI) isn't correct.

Haven't looked at all of them from you yet, but the various lists around the forums are full of errors and potential mismatches on model years.

There have been changes and our lists are getting messy but here's what I have. Many are the same as Nsane posted but some are alternates.

These are from James DeLong at Scangauge. (Well, thats a lot of gauges. )

Yea, MAP is a standard gauge - but this XGauge is actually better than the standard one. It has a larger range which was needed because the standard gauge tops out around 37 psi absolute (about 22 lbs of boost), which diesels have no problem doing. This one should read well beyond 22lbs of boost.

Manifold Absolute Pressure
TXD: 07E0221440
RXF: 046285140640
RXD: 3010
MTH: 012203200000
NAM: PSI

With a little tweaking you can adjust this to read boost as you said.

To do this, just plug in the MAP code - get a reading from it with the key in the on position but the engine off, then based on the reading changed the last 4 digits of the MTH to whatever corresponds to your reading on this table

14.0 -- FF74
14.1 -- FF73
14.2 -- FF72
14.3 -- FF71
14.4 -- FF70
14.5 -- FF6F
14.6 -- FF6E
14.7 -- FF6D
14.8 -- FF6C
14.9 -- FF6B
15.0 -- FF6A

So, for example if you got a reading of 14.5 PSI with key on engine off you'd change the MTH to 01220320FF6F and the reading should read 0.0 with key on engine off and would then show how many lbs of boost you were at when the vehicle is running.

Try what I posted for MAT - I think it works, but was hoping someone could confirm.

Yes I will try it its diffrent than the code that I used

All of these lists are a Train Wreck

some codes work some dont then throw in the diffrent years and stratigys and it really gets Crazy

But at least you can check them against the DD and confirm them

I tried the new MAT x-code you suggested and got alot better reading

IIRC it was like at 83*MAT which is alot better than the -40* I had before

Have you had a chance to confirm this against your DD yet

Thanks Again Mark

I'm intrigued now. I'm going out to plug in the MAT value and see what it reads and if I've been getting something else from the IAT2 reading I'm using or if it's the same thing althouth the PID is totally different and should be a different sensor totally although I don't know what it would be and why the 03 is different than the 04.

Benny--did you use the IAT2 I had (what Rusty posted) and did it work for you?

Well......I went out and plugged in the new MAT value that you listed, Mark and I get virtually identical readings on the SGII and the MAT value seems to update faster but that may be a scanner/PCM issue also. I wasn't able to get to the IAT2 sensor harness to unplug it without removing some intake plumbing but I'll try to remember to do that later on if someone will prompt me--LOL. I suspect that both PID's are reading the same sensor though since I don't know where there would be another temp sensor and it's definitely different than IAT1.

I made a document that combines all the codes. I'll post the PDF here but I can PM anyone the Excel if they want it.

Tim I never did plug in IAT2

But what I get they should be the same sensor just like your thinking even though they are named diff

It's just that they have different PID's but still read virtually the same. I'm not PCM saavy enough to know about the address thing in the computer. Maybe someone else can chime in here with some help. It's a little bit of a stretch to unplug the IAT2 sensor on my truck because of some aftermarket goodies or I'd just go unplug it and bet that both readings disappear. Either way they both work and never get more than 3* difference in reading before they equalize.
