Scan tool
Hello all,
I would like some input on a scan tool to use with my 06 F250 PSD. I already have an Android tablet to use. So, which software based systems are you using or would you recommend so that I may better diagnose problems if they should occur.

No If you want to run self test and indepth diagnostics you will nee an actual scan tool.
Auto engineuity is a good low cost laptop based software tool. The telephone apps are just monitors to read live data and can be used for some diagnostics but if you want to run self tests of sensors; power balance and others you will need a real bidirectional scan tool of some type.
The crem de la crem is Fords own IDS software but at $3000 or better a lil pricey for the novice.
