Just put my heater core in last night. Did some research on it I got it from autozone over a year ago. My buddy worked there at the time so he found just the ones for a/c and just the heat only. He got to searching and found another one that would fit from the specs but forget what it was for. I just got the stock replacement since it was in stock. My new one didn't seem like it was to badly made It was brazed/soldered where the in/outs went into core. Maybe it's just the newer vehicles that are being made with plastic and rubber seals. Here's a pic of my original core and my new one. Thought I had a better pic of the old by itself I'll try and find it.
