More Comfortable Seats

Has anyone reupholstered their seats or even swapped in more comfortable front seats into their Excursions? The seats in my boss's F150 are very soft and comfortable as compared to my Excursions seats.

I swapped some JC Whitney racing seats into a TJ I had a few years ago. They were surprisingly comfortable and pretty good quality. I've thought about it a million times in my EX. But my seats are in great shape, but not really comfortable either.

Yep, that's what they say, right up to the 13, and I suppose the 14 now. In fact I think someone has already done that. The only thing was the plugs for the seat power needed re wiring.

If my new 20 front jump seat from the 2011+ with head rest and shoulder seat belt ever gets here I will get to tell how easy that was to mount.

My drivers side foam is going flat on the edge (like they do) so I'm looking for some newer OEM seats on CL all the time.

You can refill, refurbish the cushions cheap, I'll even give you my blessing... Just don't use the diesel savings

That's what I'm doing wrong. I should look for some seats from a diesel pick up for mine and I know I'll get more in the seat feel of power. Maybe increase my mpg at the same time.

It's like $120 for new foam I know that doesn't sound like a whole lot but the wife and I just bought our first house and it's hard to take money that could go to home improvements *sigh*

No, no, no...you're doing the right thing. Houses appreciate in value, barring the extreme exceptions, vehicles don't.

sat in an ex at the local shop that had the seats refoamed using the closed cell memory foam (tempurpedic stuff)...it was fabulous.

Superduty seats and F-150 seats are amazing. My 2006 F-250 leather seats were super nice. Guy in the Superduty section here on FTE slapped some F-150 King Ranch seats in his F-250. Look amazing, and wasn't a whole lot of mod work to accomplish.

I'm always on the lookout for leather seats. The Leather has a different substructure it seems. Maybe it's just butt calibration, but leather is more comfy and the cloth hard on the hiney
