Mine seems to only be cooling the bottoms and not the backs. Are others having this and how big is the fix?

The backs should cool too. As far as a fix goes, I guess they are "working" on one.

I only noticed the seat getting cool, actuall my butt got cold and my back got sweaty if I remember right. I would prefer it the other way around if I can't have both. But haven't been using the A/C much yet this year here in Michigan been a cool summer so far.

Ford changed the design for some reason and it is flawed.

Threads Galore on this topic

There were actually TWO threads on that forum on the topic, the other being..

Cooling Seats - Are Your Seat Backs Working Properly? - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans

I have gotten them merged into one AND put as sticky since it is such a glaring defect and Ford has not yet admitted fully nor addressed it.

Suggest you visit and post your inputs there on the topic.....

Ford Service said that Ford will be issuing a TSB for the cooling seats in September 2015, not sure which date. Some members have reported they have unzipped their seats, which allows the exhaust heat from the TED being used to escape.
