Code P2285
I starter my truck this morning went to go forward and truck stalled. It started right up and CEL came on. Checked code with reader came up with P2285 (Injector CNTRL Pressure Senser CKT) What is this telling me???? Thanks

high pressure oil problem. Could be intermittent/temporary issue. Check your ICP sensor? Hows the oil condition and level?

Oil was changed on 6/03 only put about 200 miles since than. Checked oil level which is good.. I cleared code and it did not come back on as of yet...

do you have a means to check the ICP and or IPR valve values? I use AutoEnginuity but I understand they can also be checked using ScangaugeII.

Are you leaking oil off the back of the motor? If so its more than likely a failed ICP sensor...Since yours is an 03 the sensor is under the turbo, next to the IPR valve. Its a fun one to replace.

No oil leaks..Yes I know how much fun it is to replace. I've been there done that when I reconditioned my turbo...

P2285--ICP circuit short to ground or open defective sensor. Being that it's an 03 I'd say sensor. Do you have any surging? If it's not you might check the wiring.

No Surging!!! Since I cleared the code is has not happened again. I will see if I do get a code again and take it from there. Thanks for reply..Rocky

Surging
I also got the p2285 code and notice some surging when i was driving on the highway yesterday. You think it the ICP sensor?

I would bet on it since your truck is an 03.
