Steering wheel controls?
I am looking at getting a newer Ex. My wife has a 2000 but it doesn't have the radio/AC controls on the steering wheel. I've looked at a couple of 05 models. Both were Eddie Bauer. One had them and the other did not. Was this an option? Why wouldn't this be standard on the Eddie Bauer? I'm pretty sure this option wasn't available on the 2000 model but when was it offered? 2002? Why wasn't it standard on Limited or EB models?

EB is just a fancy way of saying Ford wanted to charge more money for an XLT with leather...so they slapped a name on the seats and sold them
The Limited models have steering wheel controls. Some upgraded EB models do as well, but those are going to be a bit rarer.
You can always add the option. Get the steering wheel off a Lariat Truck, or Navigator/Expedition along with clockspring and it all bolts right in
