Can you get paint codes from VIN
Hello,
Since I'm still messing around with my new to me powerstroke, I am going to do some touch up painting and went to the door to get the paint code. The sticker that was supposed to be there is missing. Can I get the paint code from the VIN #?
The truck is a 2003 F-250 Supercrew cab, 2wd, short bed, with the 7.3. It is a dark blue color with a silver stripe across the bottom of the doors and fenders. I'm looking for the paint code for the blue color. The Vin # is 1FTNW20F53EB06777.

Unless it is missing there should be a sticker in the door jamb that will reflect the paint codes. The above link helps but your true paint code is your best bet, especially for interior colors as there is no paint chips in the link for interior. I mention interior colors because when you go to install a gauge pod , 650 dash, etc.. you will want the interior code.
