It just says 2 on the door tag. There are 4 paint colors that show as 2 on the paintscratch website. Is there something in the VIN that tells me if my paint is 2a, 2r, 2e or 2v? Thanks for any help.

 

In 77/78 paint code "2" was medium copper for the F series. This is from the Ford parts catalog.
Also, if the paint code was two digits that would signify two tone paint. First digit main color, second digit secondary color.

 

That's probably what I'd call it too. I found a Dupont color chart that showed 4 different red tones with those specific letter codes after the 2. Thanks 4 the help.
