6.9 head bolt size
Are these head bolts standard or metric? Standard seems a bit loose? Or my socket could be worn...

I recommend a 1/2 drive socket and breaker bar if you have one. Makes life a lot easier and you won't risk breaking a ratchet or a 3/8 socket since the walls are thinner.

Aren't the head bolt (heads) 12 point? You need a 12 point socket.

They make 1/2 drive 12 pt sockets. I didn't say use an impact socket, just a 1/2 drive.
