Smile I have a Question

I'm new to this Forum, and I am a Proud owner of a 2011 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew, and it has the 5.o Litre Engine. I put a Snug-Top Lid on the bed & lined the bed with a Bed Rug. My question is, it I can remove the Snug-Top Lid, and perhaps detatch the Bed-Rug, I would like to find a a Cab-Over, Self Contained Camper, suited for my truck. It is not a Long Bed, and think perhaps a collapsible Palamino? It does have a tow package, my challenge is I live in a community governed by an HOA, and there is no Storage for RV's or Trailers. What would be the better option, Camper or Camper Trailer/Toybox?

Thanks,

Well first off.... Welcome to the FTE!
I'm in an HOA are too, and we're moving this summer to get out of it.
Myself, I'm wanting a camper, but would have to pay to store it someplace else because of the (PIA) HOA. But do you want a camper attached to your truck all of the time would be another question. Or do you have room in a garage to store a slide in camper

Ubreal2,

I possibly could store a slide in-Collapse Palomino in my Garage, but Height could be a challenge. I have also thought of a the new design Tear Drop Campers out there as a tow option... Yeah I bought into this new development and the values are starting to soar, thinking of getting out of the HOA thing, but it is a nice hood... Swimmin' Pool...Cougars, Nice Folks, and yeap... close to everywhere I need and want to be. What does it cost to store per month on Average? My thought is You Lose Money for every day you let it sit idle. I am weighing costs of Air Fare, Hotel, Rail Fare, vs. Camp out where I can plug in, and since being a Disabled Veteran, I get National & State Park Passes where I can enter & stay at reduced cost The idea of a Toy Box has my interest, as I can toss in a Quad, a 8Kw. Generac, and still have a living space, but my main concern is that is there a model cab over that would fit my 2011 F150 Super Crew 5.0 Liter Engine? Self Contained would be nice too.

Does have it's good parts. We have our own neighborhood pool too, with a club house, the lawns are well maintained etc. But I hate being told I need to trim a tree or a bush, or I can't work in the driveway on our son's car. We moved from a rural area of Southern Missouri, and want to go back to the country.

Smile Trucks & HOA

For the most part. Sadly, I'm on the City side of the Sub Division, but a block across is County. I would consider relocating. I own 2 houses in this Development, but have no problem selling the other & renting this out if I can get a bit into the County. Other than that we have a pool, no club house, my parcel lies on a cul de sac that turns left, and have an open view to the north east of a huge ranch with horses from my back fence, the horses come close enough & I feed 'em tall grass growing on my side & to my north-NW is a cattle ranch, and can see them come to the other side of Helotes Creek to graze. The only down side is I have to keep my trash bins out of plain view, and the HOA does random checks on the community. Pool is closed from October to April. All said & done the neighbors are decent, and the location is more desirable than most. As for washing my Truck in the Driveway, I ain't tested that idea yet, but probably will, and have a hose hook up to my soft water system. Some HOA's frown on that. I think I may look into small 2 sleeper low profile self contained Tear Drop Trailer, as I think I can get one in my Garage. Doc Out.
