i'm curious

could i add enginge stopleak to my tcase to stopp a leak. i'm gonna be replacing it soon anyways. i'm just courios to what you might think, or know.
its a BW1356 manual shift.

Good question, though I'm not sure it would stop the leak. Compatibility probably wouldn't be so much of an issue, but engine stop leak is made for use with lighter weight engine oil. Given this, I'm not at all sure that the crap that is mixed into this would be thick enough to stop heavier weight gear lube (in your t-case) from leaking out. I really can't say for sure..... just a few thoughts.

i'm curious

I think the bw1356 t-case uses atf, and atf has a very high detergent content in it so it might not be very succesful but may be worth a try.

Where is it leaking ? Adding engine stop leak to a TC wont stop the leak .

the rear output seal was leaking. i replaced it and it seems to be holding.
i did see after i replaced the seal that there is transmision stopleak too. so if it starts leaking again i'm just gonna be a
r&d person and add it. i'm gonna be replacing the case anyways, so what could it hurt.
worst it could doo is cause the case to cease adn i could tell you guys not to do that!
