PPE Tuner

PPE 3110200 03-09 FORD 6.0L & 6.4L Powestroke Standard Xcelerator

Anybody have any experience with these, seems a little crazy on the power number. If so how does it compare with Inovatives tunes on the sct 3015?

My friend had this on a duramax and it hauled ***. Also went through 2 Allison's and 2 sets of Michelin tires.

Hah funny, yeah Ppe is making tunes for the powerstroke. I've been doing a lot of reading and i guess they are very hard on the trans in the higher leveles. Other then that a lot of people like them.

A stock T1000 Allison isn't worth very much period, IMHO.

Yeah it seems that way, but from what I have been reading the sct is more smoky.

Are you taking custom tunes or canned tunes? The PPE is twice the price of an X3. I would go with SCT.

Id still bet that SCT with custom written tunes will be better than the PPE unless they were to start doing custom written tunes. And my friends dmax was disgustingly smokey.

I've run and dyno tested enough tunes to know that they're like opinions, and we all know what opinions are like. Each one runs different on every truck. There are LOTS of GOOD tune writers that use the SCT platform with PROVEN tunes for a LOT less money. The Gryphon tuner from PHP is also good and gives you the option of flashing your FICM. Bill (PHP)writes good tunes and also has them available for SCT, IIRC.
