I started my truck this morning and none of my driver console gauges worked, i.e. tach, speedo, fuel, oil gauges, turn signals, etc. I also notice that my door chime was not working either. However, my external lights, turn signals, as well as my radio, steering wheel buttons all seemed to work. I have not had a chance to check the fuses yet, but wanted to see if anyone has had a similar problem and what was the solution.
This is the first complaint i have seen of this nature.
one thing you could try is to put the dash into the "engineering test mode" That will cause the gauges to do a test sweep, and scrolling through the sequence allows you to turn on all the micro bulbs to see if they are working as well.
i don't know which display you have, that is if you have the small LCD screen or not, but if you have the basic display (no "convenince package"), you simply hold down the "reset" button on the display while turning the key to the "on" position. keep holding the reset button until the message "engineering test mode" displays, and it will immediatly begin the gauge sweep. from there you just press and release the "reset" button to move on to the next test.
if you have display controls on your steering wheel, i can't help you, but i'm sure others on this fourm can.
Ford service may chime in here as well and offer you some assistance.
keep us posted and let us know when you get it fixed!
Thanks Mike I will give it a try. I believe I have the basic display, hopefully something will happen as of now I am getting no display what's so ever.
